HENRY DOE

This story is about Henry Doe, a highly-skilled professional baker who is volunteering his expertise to provide fresh, home-baked bread to Makers Valley residents coming to the Food Kitchens.  Lungsta Nahayise from Timbuktu in the Valley happened to meet Henry while visiting a communal house in the neighbourhood. When she heard that Henry is a baker who is not working at the moment due to the lockdown regulations, she asked him if he would consider baking bread for the Food Security programme. Henry was happy to agree, and the very next day arrived in Timbuktu in the Valley's kitchen in Victoria Yards. Since then each week Henry bakes multiple loaves of fresh bread to accompany the Food Kitchen goodies. (Photo credit misLU)
