Swyft Lab utilizes South African artistic talent to extend the lifespan of fashion items through upcycling, innovative design, repairing and professional cleaning and maintenance services. Swyft Lab prioritizes people and the planet through the intervention of design & craft where preloved fashion items become the canvas.
● We aim to create a sustainable, affordable and trendy alternative to fast fashion, whereby preloved items' lifespan can be extended through the intervention of fresh South African creative talent.
● We aim to educate people on conscious consumer habits, through garments and footwear maintenance and care. and through demonstrating how upcycling can prevent landfill waste.
● We aim to employ South African creatives to use our pre-loved garments as canvas to design and create on. We will train Johannesburg youth as technicians to provide cleaning and maintenance services. Both activities are aimed at augmenting earning potential for Jhb Urban youth.
